What do we know about Afzal, apart from him releasing muslim pedophiles so they can continue to sexually abuse (white british) teenage girls.
Here is some info:-
From the CPS website:-
Nazir Afzal OBE is the Chief Crown Prosecutor (CCP) for the North West Area. He took up the appointment in May 2011.
As Chief Crown Prosecutor he is responsible for all criminal prosecutions across Greater Manchester, Lancashire and Cumbria and leads approximately 700 lawyers, paralegal staff and administrators in the North West.
Nazir qualified as a solicitor after studying law in Birmingham and worked in private practice until he joined the CPS in 1991. He began his CPS career in central London and has prosecuted and advised on many high profile cases. He worked in frontline management roles in London before being appointed as Sector Director for CPS West London in 2003. Before moving to the North West as Chief Crown Prosecutor he had a national role as CPS Director for Communities.
Nazir has pioneered work to tackle honour-based violence and forced marriage, initially bringing this issue to the top of the public agenda through a CPS conference in 2004. He has the national CPS lead on tackling these crimes and on tackling Violence Against Women (domestic violence, rape and other violent offences in which women are predominantly the victims).
Nazir was awarded an OBE in the Queen’s New Years Honours List in 2005 for his public service and involvement with the local community and was named Legal Personality of the Year by the Society of Asian Lawyers, which represents around 15,000 professionals. In 2007 he received the CPS Public Servant of the Year award, the UK Government’s Justice Award and the Daily Mirror newspaper ‘People’s Award’, voted for by readers. In recent years he has also received the Law Society/Bar Council Mentoring award and was selected for the Asian Power 100 along with the Muslim Power 100 list.
He also told / advised the Police to charge Rebecca Leighton – when enough evidence was not available. (white british) Ms Leighton was later not charged
Nazir also decided 72 year old (black male) cecil coley had no case to answer for stabbing to death a (white) burglar. (Anyone thinking of stephen Lawrence?)
Now you may think all these decision are good and correct – OK, you are entitled to your opinion – but if the ethnic groups had been reversed I suspect you would be the people saying institutional racism.
He has questions to answer – I am calling into question his judgement, I think his race and religion plays a part in his decision making.
